Suspected kidnapper lynched to death

A yet to be identified kidnap suspect was lynched to death on Sunday after along LASU Iba expressway.

Trouble started after residents within Iba community discovered, a place under the bridge at Aldof bus stop where some ritualists allegedly use people for rituals at about 3pm on Sunday afternoon.
It was learned that some human parts were found under the bridge where the suspects used for their crime.

It was learned that the irate mob pounced on one of the suspected kidnappers and lynched him to death while the other one narrowly escaped by a whisker before the police arrived the scene.

According to an eye witness, Eniola Samuel who witnessed the incident, “I was driving along the Lasu-Iba expressway when I met hundreds of community people on the busy Iba Lasu highway by the bridge where they were lynching someone. They said the suspects and some other who are currently at large were involved in some hideous evil work going on along the Lasu-Iba Road after community people discovered a den under the bridge used for rituals. Some body parts were discovered at the scene. One of the ritualist escaped and one was caught, lynched and set ablaze before the police arrived and intervened”.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson Lagos state police command, DSP Bala Elkana said that the police received a distress call that there was a mob action going on along Iba LASU expressway, we dispatched our rescue team, unfortunately by the time they got there, the suspect was already attacked, killed and burnt by the mob.

The police haven’t arrested been able to arrest those involved in the mob action as they ran away immediately police got to the scene. But investigation is still ongoing and we are relying on the videos from the scene to fish out those responsible for the mob action.”
