Security: Ogun State Police Command launches ‘Operation Restore Hope’

The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Police Command, CP Kenneth Ebrimson, has launched Operation Restore Hope, an operational exercise aimed at checkmating criminal activities in the state, especially during yuletide.

The exercise which was carried out in all the Area Commands across the state, saw policemen patrolling the nooks and crannies of their respective area of operation.

The Area Commander, Santo Outta Command, ACP Agbonika Monday, led policemen to some blackspots, during which an Indian Hemp seller was arrested.

ACP Agbonika, explained that the exercise was aimed at disrupting activities of criminals especially during the yuletide season and also to reassure the people of Ogun State that they can go about their legal activities without fear of molestation.

“The importance of the operation is to reclaim the public space from heniuous criminal element that are bent on threatening or breaching the state security and order”.
