The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, said the first phase of its ongoing recruitment exercise has been concluded with the shutting down of the application portal, while the second phase has commenced immediately.
In a statement in Abuja, Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Mr. Ndu Ughamadu, disclosed that the second phase of the exercise involved shortlisting of qualified candidates.
He explained that the qualified candidates among the applicant would be invited to participate in computer-based aptitude tests.
According to Ughamadu, the tests would be administered in about 50 centres across the country, while he added that those who emerged successful in the tests would subsequently be invited for oral interviews for final selection.
He said, “The phase one of the ongoing recruitment exercise by the NNPC which kicked off via nationwide advertisements in the national dailies and online media on Wednesday, 13 March, 2019 ended midnight yesterday (Tuesday) with the closure of the corporation’s application portal.
“NNPC, an equal opportunity employer in the oil and gas industry value chain, including exploration, refining, transportation and marketing of petroleum products, recently placed advertisements to recruit some categories of new hands to buoy its operations nationwide.
“These are: Graduate Trainee; Senior officer and Supervisory Cadre; and Managerial Cadre.”
