Police nab 4 most wanted cultists in Ogun State

The Ogun State Police Command is currently investigating four members of dreaded Eiye cult group who have been on the wanted list of Lagos State Police Command, for their participation in various deadly attacks that have claimed life of many innocent people.

The suspects identified as Owolabi Rasaq (28) of No 3, Ibo_Igunnu street Bariga Lagos, Chidi Michael aka Chiboy (26) of Adelepo street Odonla Ikorodu Lagos, Sunday Adetiba aka Sian (30) of No 11Jagu Lawan street Ogijo, and Idris Jimoh (27) aka Aloma of No 12 Akinyemi Street Liberty Estate Itaoluwo, were arrested by men of Ogun State Police Command on the 8th of October, 2019.

Newsbeats learned that the suspects were arrested following an intelligence report received by the DPO Ogijo Division, CSP Suleman Baba Muhammed, that the cultists were having a nocturnal meeting in a hideout somewhere in Ogijo on how to carry out another attack in Ogun State.

Sequel to the report, the DPO and his men swung into action and stormed the hideout where the four suspects were arrested.

Investigation further revealed that the arrested suspects have been on wanted list of Lagos State Police Command, for series of deadly attacks leading to death of many innocent members of the public.

Confirming their arrest, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, Spokesperson, Ogun State Police Command, said that the suspects have all made confessional statements of being members of eiye cult group as well as their involvement in various cult related clashes in Lagos and Ogun States”.

“Meanwhile the Commissioner of Police, CP Bashir Makama has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, for discreet investigation and prosecution.”
