The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has said that there was no fight that needed reconciliation in the APC.
Tinubu said this to newsmen on Friday, July 3, 2020, after a closed door meeting with members of the APC caretaker committee at his residence on Bourdillon, Ikoyi, Lagos.
He said they have no differences to be sorted out in the APC, but had consultation and that is how the party would continue to be a progressive party.
The committee set up is a consultation and not reconciliation committee, Tinubu said , stressing that nobody is fighting anybody and that they have never been divided.
“There are instances when you disagree but it doesn’t mean that you cannot discuss it over and be a good example in leadership and politics.
Politics without seeming media crisis will be less interesting. We are all committed to building this party and Nigeria, that is what we are all about. We are steering the ship of our nation and our party in the right direction”, Tinubu stated
Yobe State, governor, Mai Mala Buni, who chaired the committee and also led other members to the meeting, said the series of meeting is all part of the consultation.
He continued to say that the task before APC is daunting and as such need guidance, experience and prayers from the leaders.”
However, the host governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, of Lagos State, who said he was delighted in meeting with his colleagues, intimated that the discussion was a very fruitful one
