According to Victor who resides at G54 Army Post Service Housing Estate, Ojo area of Lagos, “I used petrol to set the victim ablaze. I met Alabi Tolani Mariam through a hookup on February 28, 2019 and she moved into my house in March. Since then we  have co-habited as lovers as her parents live apart.”

Explaining further, Victor said “I finished my Secondary School in 2016 at Gbagada Senior Grammar School and I am currently seeking for admission into tertiary institution.

I have been into internet fraud popularly known as Yahoo boys for the past three years. The N600,000.00 I  used in renting the apartment we live in, is a proceed of Internet fraud.

When I brought her into my house, it was with conditions that she will quit prostitution and stick to me alone.”

It was learned that trouble started on Thursday when Mariam left home to fix her hair and did not return until the next day. On Friday she also left the house under the guise of visiting her Father but ended up seeing another man.

Unfortunately, Victor got to know on Saturday when he found  chats, video calls and pictures of her naked which Mariam sent to the client she spent the night with, while checking her phone.

Victor who could not control his anger  used the petrol he kept for his generator to set her ablaze.
