ETC partners GIZ on clean energy, market development

In a bid to promote sustainable development of the Nigerian Energy sector through building and educational activities for renewable Energy (RE), and Energy Efficiency (EE), the Energy Training Center (ETC) and Deutsche Gesellschaft for International Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Abuja.

This is geared towards promoting the sectors collaboration.

According to a statement made available to Newsbeats, the collaboration would support and strengthen ETC as part of the Training Partnership Network which was initiated by NESP in 2017 for the deliverance of courses that confer professional qualification identified by the network.

It further stated that the technical collaboration was conducted through the Nigerian Energy Support Programme , a technical assistance programme  co- founded by the European Union and the German Government and implemented by GIZ  in collaboration with the Federal Ministry  of Power.

It is interesting to note the event had  the representation of, Managing Director, Mrs. Ibiene Okeleke and the Head of Business Development, Mr. Afolabi Davidson both from ETC and the ECOWAS, the Head of programme of  NESP,  Mr. Duke and Benjamin, and the Advisor on Capacity  Development and Private Sector collaboration of NESP Mrs. Sharon Kaburuk.
