COVID-19: Lagos discharges ten more patients

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has disclosed that ten more persons including a foreign national, a Polish, who were treated for Corona Virus in the State, have been discharged to join the society following their complete recovery.

According to the Governor, who is also the Incident Commander, the ten persons; 5 females, 4 males and the foreigner, bringing the total to ten persons, left the isolation facilities to reunite with their families today, April 21, 2020.

The patients, from the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba and Onikan Isolation centre, the governor updated, were discharged having fully recovered and tested negative twice consecutively to COVID-19.

“With this, the number of patients successfully managed and discharged from our facilities is now 107.

“As our front line health workers record successes in the battle against COVID-19, we urge citizens to stay at home, practice social distancing and adopt highest possible personal and hand hygiene. This is the only way we can break the chain of transmission of the infection”, Sanwo-Olu added.
