Breaking: Osaka emerges winner of Australia Open

Fourth seed Naomi Osaka, outgunned Pietra Kvitova to emerge winner of Australian Open final.

The 21-year-old Japanese star overcame the eight seed after a well fought set, 7-6 5-7 6-4, to emerge winner.
The game was a fierce contest as both player fought severely, to show they deserved to get to this point.

Osaka took the first set 7-6 (7/2). Petra Kvitova fourth came back to take the second set of the Australian Open women’s final 7-5 on Saturday, to level the match against Osaka in ashowdown where the winner will become the new world number one.

The Czech eighth seed saved three championship points and battled back from 3-5 down to keep the final alive in a 55 minute set of quality tennis.)

Naomi Osaka will be announced number one by Monday, 28 of January, 2019.
